After Peace Corps, Paul went to the University
of Hawaii and got an MA degree in language teaching.
At the time he was married to Nuanphan, a teacher he had met at
his school in Thailand.
They left Hawaii and settled in Paul's hometown of Wichita , Kansas.
A couple of years later they accepted a position in Saudi Arabia
teaching English to Saudi soldiers
Then they moved to Kuwait University , where he taught for two years
in their Engineering department.
Next they moved to Chiengmai , Thailand (1980-86) where he taught
at Chiengmai University.
Then to Japan (1987-88)
And Back to Chiengmai University (1988-1993)
During this time he and Nuanphan were divorced
In 1993 Paul returned to Wichita, where he has been living ever
since.
He is currently coordinator of the English as a Second Language
Program at the Wichita Indochinese Center
Recently he visited Thailand at the invitation of Nuanphan and was
able to spend two weeks there. He and Hugh Leong went bird watching
in Chiangmai. Paul is thinking seriously about returning to Thailand
to teach
