we flew from Los Angeles to Hilo on this McDonnell-Douglas Super DC-8. This plane -- United #N8092U -- took us from Los Angles to Hilo (via Honolulu) in February 1969. It was an almost new airplane at that time. built in October 1, 1968. It is still flying today as en Emory Worldwide Airlines freighter.
